Requires annual training, within 6 weeks of the start of the school year, all school district are to provide training child abuse and neglect reporting act. "CANRA" requires that all “mandated reporters” file a report with local law enforcement or county welfare departments whenever in their professional capacity they have knowledge of or observe a child they reasonably suspect has been the victim of child abuse or neglect. (penal code § 11166.) In the education setting, “mandated reporters” include all certificated and classified employees, administrators, athletic coaches and school resources officers – basically anyone who has regular contact with children Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting training.
