The fire near Ishi Hills middle school is out and we are grateful to share that there is no damage near or around the school. We want to thank Emergency personnel for acting so quickly. They did an amazing job. School is in session tomorrow.

Yesterday, August 11th, our amazing team gathered at Studios @ Central to kick off the new school year in style! 💼✨
We had a blast with fun games 🕹️, exciting prizes 🎁, and lots of laughter along the way! 😄🙌
To top it all off, we enjoyed a tasty lunch from some of our favorite local food trucks 🌮🍔 — the perfect end to a perfect day!

Clarification on Middle School Enrollment for the 2025–26 School Year
We know there may have been some confusion about middle school placement for your students, and we'd like to clear things up.
For the upcoming school year, your 6th grader has been automatically enrolled in either Ishi Hills Middle School or The Studios at Central, based on your home address.
This is the standard procedure for all students who attended an Oroville City elementary school.
While you may have filled out a survey last year about your middle school preference, please know that this was only a planning document for the district. It was not an official request for transfer.
What to Do If You Want a Different School
If you would like your child to attend the other middle school, you must fill out an intra-district transfer form, some of you have already completed this process and your school of choice is ready for you. This is the official step needed to enroll your child in a school other than their designated home school.
We have space at both schools and are happy to accommodate your family's preference.
